This tile clock is unique in many ways.  First, the outside border is actually a tile with a square opening cut in it. Second, it is very tedious to cut rings out of tile and there are three of them in this design.  The three ring design may have Celtic origins, and in early Christendom this symbol was sometimes used to represent the Trinity.
